DONALD WINS THE TOP SPOT BACK

Luke Donald lost his number one position the moment he decided to not play the Honda classic event. This decision gave the young Irishman Rory Mcilroy the chance to get to the top of the world golf rankings. The Irishman made no mistakes as he went on to win the tournament and make his way to the very top of the world golf rankings.

His joys were short lived as Luke Donald put up a marvellous performance at the Transitions Championship and won the tournament to reclaim the top position.

He had an opening round four of fewer than sixty seven and thus he found himself to be within striking distance of the lead in the tenth place itself with mere three rounds to play. He was six strokes behind the Irishman Harrington who scored a brilliant ten under par sixty one in the very opening stanza. Luke Donald was always close to the lead as he scored a second round of sixty eight and followed the performance by a good third round of seventy.

The media asked Luke Donald if he felt as if he was being neglected by the media after he lost his crown. He agreed to it but then said that he never paid much attention to all these things.
